deck. vault is a set of markdown files (an Obsidian vault) delivered as a download right after checkout. deck. engine is a set of source files (Python, CSS, fonts, textures, example decks) plus the vault, delivered the same way. Both are digital goods, version 1.0 at the time of purchase. There is no subscription and no promise of future versions.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the files to produce and publish content for accounts you own or operate, without limit on the number of posts or accounts. Team licence: up to five people in one company. You may modify anything. What you render with the engine is yours. You may not resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, upload, or republish the files themselves, in whole or in part, as a template, theme, kit, course, or hosted service. Fonts in the engine are licensed under the SIL Open Font License and carry their own terms. Nothing here grants rights to the "deck." or "charles jacob" names or marks.
Because the files are delivered immediately, you agree at checkout that delivery starts right away and that any statutory right of withdrawal for digital content ends with the download, where such a right exists in your country. In its place, this guarantee applies to everyone: 14 days, action-based. Clone the engine, render one deck, post it. If it did not deliver, email me within 14 days of purchase with the render and a link to the post, and you get a full refund. Requests that include the work are honoured; requests without it are not. For the vault alone: send the filled-in account card and one filled template.
Nothing on this site promises or implies revenue, followers, or any specific result. The only results shown are the account @charlesjacob.ai itself, which you can open at any time. What it costs you is your own work.
Reply to the purchase email with questions or a broken render; I answer myself. Bug fixes to the engine are provided at my discretion; there is no service level and no promised future content.
For the licence and the guarantee, Swiss law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. For the purchase itself, the merchant of record's terms shown at checkout apply. If a clause here is invalid, the rest stays in force.
